The email arrives at your address
Send directly or forward an email — by hand or with a forwarding rule — to your Bouncebox address, for example
inv-7k2f@in.bouncebox.app. This is not a connection that reads your existing Gmail or Outlook mailbox. See Forward email into BounceBox for setup guides.2
The sender is checked
If the mailbox has an Allowed senders list, BounceBox checks the sender against it. Email from anyone else is marked
SKIPPED and is never processed.3
Attachments are parsed
PDFs and supported images are provided for model extraction. Spreadsheets (
.xlsx, .xls, .csv) are converted to text on Pro and Custom; Starter supports PDFs and supported images. File size, provider support and legibility affect processing. A successful parse status is not proof that every detail was readable.4
AI extracts the fields
The mailbox template defines the output shape: invoice, order, or a custom schema. Bouncebox extracts details from email text and supported attachments. Check the result against the original; extraction can be incomplete or incorrect. See Extraction templates.

The result is delivered — or held for review
Use review-first delivery to hold results as
AWAITING REVIEW until approval. Delivery uses your configured reply email, webhook POST, or both where your plan supports it. Review approval is not stock validation, fulfillment or acceptance by a downstream system.6
Everything stays in your inbox
You can also upload documents by hand. The structured result and delivery attempts remain available for inspection. Reprocessing depends on retained source input and available allowance; it is not possible indefinitely after raw-input expiry.
Statuses tell you where an email is in the pipeline:
PROCESSING, COMPLETED, AWAITING REVIEW, FAILED, SKIPPED, or — when your plan stopped processing — TRIAL ENDED, LIMIT REACHED, PAYMENT FAILED, or PLAN INACTIVE. Stored raw emails and attachments are subject to scheduled expiry after 14 days on Starter or 30 days on Pro and Custom. Structured results and delivery logs may remain after expiry.
