# Usage, limits & quotas

> How the monthly email counter works, what happens at the limit, and retention per plan.

## Where to see your usage

Your monthly email counter appears in two places:

* **Overview** — the EMAILS THIS MONTH card, with a progress bar against your plan limit.
* **Billing** — the USAGE card with the same number.

The counter **resets monthly**. Starter includes 100 emails; Pro includes 1,000; Custom is agreed with us.

## The quota is a hard stop

There are no overage charges — usage never bills beyond your plan. When the limit is reached:

1. Further incoming emails are marked `QUOTA BLOCKED` and are not processed.
2. The workspace owner gets an email pointing at the Billing page.

Nothing is lost retroactively — already-processed emails are unaffected — and blocked emails stay visible in the inbox. Upgrade or wait for the reset, then [reprocess](/dashboard/inbox) any blocked emails you still need.

<Tip>
  Because reprocessing counts against the monthly quota, a blocked email reprocessed after an upgrade uses one of the new plan's emails — the numbers work out the same as if it had been processed on time.
</Tip>

## Expired trials

When a 14-day trial ends without checkout, processing stops until you complete checkout from [Billing](/billing/manage-subscription). Your mailboxes, inbox, and extracted results are all kept.

## Retention per plan

Raw emails and attachments are deleted automatically — 14 days on Starter, 30 days on Pro and Custom. Extracted results and delivery logs are kept. You can purge raw emails immediately from **Settings → DATA & RETENTION → Delete all raw emails now**.

<Note>
  Reprocessing re-runs extraction from the stored raw email. Once the retention sweep or a manual purge deletes the raw email, reprocessing is no longer possible — the inbox shows "Raw email was not retained".
