# AppSumo lifetime license

> Activate your AppSumo license, compare License Tiers 1–3, and manage upgrades, refunds, and switching from a paid plan.

If you bought BounceBox on AppSumo, you have a lifetime license instead of a monthly subscription. There is no trial, checkout, or recurring charge. AppSumo issues your license key and handles the purchase.

## Activate your license

**1. Buy BounceBox on AppSumo**

Purchase the License Tier you want on AppSumo.

**2. Click Activate on AppSumo**

AppSumo shows an **Activate** button after your purchase. It sends you to bouncebox.app.

**3. Sign in or create your account**

Sign in with an email magic link or Google, or create a new BounceBox account.

**4. Your license activates**

You land on the **Activate your AppSumo license** page. BounceBox claims the license automatically and applies it to your workspace.

Prefer to paste the key yourself? Open the same activation page while signed in, enter your license key, and confirm.

>
> An AppSumo license attaches to a workspace that you own or administer. Members without those roles can't activate one.

List prices are $49, $129, and \$249 for Tiers 1, 2, and 3. AppSumo may sell them at a discount.

## Upgrade or downgrade

Change your tier on AppSumo. Your license key rotates automatically and your workspace switches tier on its own. You don't need to activate again.

## Refunds

If you get a refund or deactivate your license on AppSumo, access stops and processing for the workspace pauses. BounceBox keeps your data. You can subscribe to a regular plan afterwards. See [Plans & pricing](https://docs.bouncebox.app/billing/plans.md).

## Switch from a paid subscription

A workspace with an active card or App Store subscription can't claim an AppSumo license. This prevents double billing. Cancel the subscription first, then activate your license. See [Manage your subscription](https://docs.bouncebox.app/billing/manage-subscription.md).

## Manage your license

Your workspace's **Billing** page shows an **AppSumo lifetime — License Tier N** card with a **Manage on AppSumo** link. It replaces the plan, checkout, and portal buttons. Manage purchases and keys in your AppSumo account.
